Synaptics is looking for a hands-on and experienced Staff Program Manager to join our dynamic and growing organization. We are building the next generation of IOT based WiFi and Bluetooth that will provide low-latency and high performance connectivity solutions for devices and sensors across multiple market segments where we want to further enhance our end customer experience while maintaining our lead by serving them with nothing but the best This position reports to the Technical Program Management Director.

Job Duties

  • Own end-to end Program Management of engineering platform or customer projects that involve planning, scoping, design, development, and change management working closely with globally distributed cross-functional teams
  • Lead, track, and monitor cross-functional projects; initiating necessary meetings to ensure timely and effective realization of defined delivery schedules, topics, and targets
  • Lead, manage, and improve the product development and software release process
  • Actively support sustainable, effective cross-functional communication at multiple levels in the organization that include status reports, program plans, and risk & readiness charts etc.
  • Analyze technical issues and generate creative solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement of all processes, methodologies, and systems

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work within a diverse team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in EE/CS or related field or equivalent
  • 8+ years’ experience in product development or customer project management
  • Experience in rigorous life-cycle management including capturing requirements, decomposition, architecture, design, unit testing and integration testing among others
  • Good understanding of Wifi and Bluetooth technologies preferred
  • Core engineering background developing ASIC and software solutions a plus
  • 10%-15% domestic and international travel expected
