Synaptics is looking for a highly skilled Oracle SOA/Integration Cloud or EDI Developer to work closely with our team of analysts, app developers and database administrators. As an SOA developer, you will provide technical support, monitor existing SOA composites, and design and implement new solutions. A successful candidate will have impeccable knowledge of SOA principles and practices, proven experience implementing processes and security authentication, and a solid background in business process analysis and functional design. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Business Systems.

Job Duties

• Assist in the development and maintenance of integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Oracle SOA Suite
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment of integration solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements, and provide technical support for integration issues
• Learn and apply new technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to Oracle integration technologies
• Contribute to documentation for integration processes and solutions
• Design, implement, and maintain electronic data interchange (EDI) systems with customers and suppliers
• Adapt existing architecture to align with evolving business goals

Competencies

• Basic understanding of software development principles / development cycle and languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, XML, and SQL
• Familiarity with web services (REST and SOAP), authentication, JSON, SQL, and XML formats
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
• Strong understanding of SOA principles and practices
• Basic understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or related cloud technologies preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Ability to guide and train end users and team members and lead process improvement initiatives
• Proactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
• Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas
• Strong verbal and written communication (in English) with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent
• 8+ years experience in leading business process analysis and functional design
• Strong experience using Oracle SOA Suite, JavaScript, Oracle Database, SOA Web Services, Workato, etc.
• Experience in High Tech industries
• Prior experience related to Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOA Suite, or other integration platform a plus
• Prior experience building web service for backend (such as RESFTFul API) and EDI (Electronic Data Exchange) preferred
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment desired
• No travel required
