Overview
Synaptics is looking for RF DVT Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization. You will be responsible for RF design validation of our wireless solutions particularly on WLAN and BT, RF tuning and characterization and RF setup build. This position reports to the Manager, Hardware Engineering.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Independently perform RF DVT testing and support of our wireless solutions involving WiFi4/5/6/6E and WiFi7 standards. Should have working knowledge of handling BT/BLE 4.x and 5.x RF DVT testing as well
- Should be capable of handling the RF calibration and characterization across different voltage and temperature range, PA calibration and tuning
- Should independently Bring-up of RF test setup, RF component/equipment calibration
- Use reference documentation/diagrams/schematics to test, troubleshoot, fault isolate and root cause the issues
- Thorough knowledge of various Lab equipment such as Litepoint testers, spectrum analyser, signal generator and temperature chamber
- Work with a cross functional engineering team to support new developments
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop and document future activities
Competencies
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of EVM, SM compliance measurement and RF tuning across different VT range
- Hands-on experience with country specific regulatory domain tests, test procedure and test equipment.
- Working knowledge of any scripting language, preferably python
- Thorough knowledge of various types of testing including ACI, AACI, PA burn-in and blocker tests
- Proactive, self-starter, able to work under aggressive project schedules and in a dynamic environment
- Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas
- A great team player with the ability to work with dynamic, geographically distributed teams
- Results oriented, creative problem solver able to solve problems through adapting technology and a solid understanding of product architecture
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Telecommunication / Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
- 8 years of experience working in RF domain performing RF design validation of wireless SoCs with various MIMO capabilities, iPA or ePA
- Prior working experience with BRCM wireless solutions is a must
- Must be able to travel outside of India
