Synaptics is looking for a Sr. HR Generalist to join our dynamic and growing organization. You will play a key role supporting our leaders and teams in areas such as onboarding, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with HR policies and practices., This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Human Resources, Taiwan.

Job Duties

  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to address and resolve workplace issues, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment
  • Work with regional HR leaders, provide support on the people programs regarding the country people priorities (local HR activities, Talent Management Experience, Volunteer /DEI Events etc.,)
  • Support the performance management process by providing guidance to managers on talent assessment and career counseling, coaching, and feedback skills
  • Stay up to date of employment laws and regulations in order to provide guidance to managers on legal and ethical issues
  • Partner with Benefits team to manage statutory benefits programs, including administering local insurance and operating the Employee Welfare Committee (Taiwan specific)
  • Partner with Taiwan HR lead to implement strategies to support employee engagement, and workplace culture. Partner with managers in developing and implementing action plans
  • Partner with HR COEs and APAC HRBP team to share best practices and ensure consistency in HR processes
  • Facilitate effective communication between employees and management to ensure key information is shared and understood by all parties
  • Will have the opportunity to participate in global HR initiatives to learn about talent management and talent development practices in a multinational organization
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires
  • Workday transactions, onboarding new hires into the HR system, maintaining data in shared folders and creating purchase orders, etc., as needed

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree (masters a plus) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field or equivalent
  • 5 years of HR Generalist experience, including talent management, employee relations, benefits administration, and the country HR compliance
  • Solid understanding of relevant employment laws and regulatory rules
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with employees, managers, and external stakeholders on various HR-related matters, including policies, procedures, and employee relations issues
  • Experience analyzing situations, identifying problems, and proposing effective solutions is essential when dealing with complex employee issues and conflicts
  • Track record of building relationships, resolving conflicts, and handling sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy
  • History of balancing multiple competing tasks such as onboarding, benefits administration, and employee training programs
  • Solid knowledge of working in HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also important
  • Travel up to 10% required
