The Wireless Signal Processing Internship is an opportunity to learn and develop your DSP and Communication theory skills by working with connectivity products that include WiFi/BT combo chips. Our internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their studies in the fall. 

The typical base pay range for this position is USD $30.00- $52.50 per hour. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only. 

Job Duties 

  • Algorithm development for signal processing and communication theory. Involves python or Matlab and C programming. Will involve modeling RF impairments and simulations of the modem under various scenarios and in-depth analysis of the results
  • Will have the opportunity to participate in / learn about Signal processing algorithm design and implementation and bringup of the chips in the lab.
  • Will have opportunity to apply deep learning or neural networks to applications within wireless signals processing domain

Competencies 

  • Ability to read RTL code
  • Ability to understand TCL is nice to have
  • Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate and error-free
  • Self-motivated and aptitude to learn quickly
  • Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong sense of professionalism

Qualifications 

  • Candidates should be seeking a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in EE
  • Solid experience programming in C/C++ or Matlab or python
  • Completed DSP or Communication theory courses specifically in wireless communication
  • Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your employment and criminal history
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
