Overview

Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Staff Digital Engineering to join our dynamic and growing WPD organization. You will be responsible to drive the SoC Design in the BT, BLE, 15.4 domain. You will provide technical leadership and expertise in the latest design methodologies as well as Blue-tooth domain. You will handle the design of digital signal processing data paths, flow control, security engines, and embedded microcontrollers. This role will drive innovations in the design to improve performance, reduce area, and reduce power consumption. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Design Engineering. 

Responsibilities & Competencies

Job Duties 

• Provide technical leadership for BT, BLE, 15.4 SoC architecture and design
• MCU core, bus-matrix, DMA, and Security engine design
• Support firmware, cosim, and debug operations
• Perform digital design/integration, including RTL, SDC integration and relative checks including CDC, nLint, design and verification
• Whole chip synthesis, LEC and STA, timing closure
• FPGA synthesis and verification
• Lead the BT SoC designs

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) in Computer Engineering, Communication or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field or equivalent
• 12 years of experience in digital IC design and Verilog coding
• Familiar with at least one of the followings:  Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SoC architecture, and Security engine architecture
• Understanding of digital IC design flow (design, verification, synthesis, HW/SW co-working)
• Understanding of FPGA synthesis and verification flow
• Experience with tapeout of new product
• Minimal travel up to 10%
