Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic and growing organization. The primary focus will be to drive product definition, strategy and business development. As a key member of PC business unit, you will be responsible for the touchpad product line P&L, roadmap, and innovations. You will partner closely with engineering team, to define new products, and you will partner with global sales team to promote and drive design wins. This position reports to the Director, Product Marketing.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Define new differentiating products for the touchpad market and create the go-to-market strategy
- Conduct competitive research to better understand our market segments and implement strategies effectively communicate the unique benefits of Synaptics touchpad solutions
- Solicits, comprehends, tracks, manages and communicates OEMs program and schedule requirements and ensures synchronization/alignment with ODM and U.S.-based OEM HQs
- Analyze the existing product portfolio and bring up future products for the customers under management to plan for the next generation products
- Manage the P&L, revenue growth, budgeting, and financial performance working with our Finance team
- Enable the sales team by providing them with the necessary tools, training, and support to effectively communicate product value and drive sales success
- Partner with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, sales, and operations professionals to support seamless product development, launch, post-launch support, and product cost optimization
- Identify and foster strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance the reach and impact of the business

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent; MBA is a plus
- 12 years with PC OEM with a combination of product marketing
- Strong technical knowledge on capacitive force sensing is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in business growth, influencing teams, and inspiring innovation
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop plans that are executable
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with product, sales, PR and multiple functions within marketing
- Exposure to working in a global environment managing product marketing activities with internal teams and markets in all regions especially the Asia Pacific region
- Proven marketing expertise with experience defining and successfully launching innovative products
- Up to 20% travel, both domestic and international
