Synaptics is looking for a Manager, Accounting in India to join our dynamic and growing organization. You will be the finance representative responsible for all accounting, finance, and operational matters related to the Synaptics India entities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Synaptics policies, and efficient financial operations. This position reports to the Director, EMEA Finance.

Job Duties

  • Lead and motivate the Finance team in India
  • Efficiently handle all daily operations e.g. payroll process and vendor payments
  • Manage and accurate and complete monthly close process in Oracle under US GAAP
  • Prepare analysis and reports following US GAAP for Synaptics HQ
  • Oversee the statutory financial reporting and audit of the India entity
  • Ensure accurate conversion from the US GAAP to Local GAAP books
  • Manage on-time submission of all local tax filings e.g. indirect tax, corporate tax, and payroll tax
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations including the Companies Act
  • Oversee customs compliance and STPI license with duties and taxes
  • Ensure compliance with FEMA requirements for foreign exchange transactions
  • Identify process improvements to support Synaptics’s growing business operations
  • Handle ad-hoc projects as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent
  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience (with a minimum of 2 years in a people management role)
  • Track record of leading and motivating cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in both India and US GAAP standards
  • Experienced in local direct and indirect tax and local statutory compliance
  • Working knowledge of Oracle ERP and ADP with advanced Microsoft tools skills
  • No travel required
