Overview

Synaptics is looking for a Software Engineer, Bluetooth to join our dynamic and growing organization. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a global team working to create revolutionary products. In this role, you will be working in the Core Bluetooth Software team responsible for BT/BLE driver design and development to productize cutting edge and best-in-class Synaptics IoT Bluetooth solutions. This position reports to the Sr. Director SW Engineering.

Responsibilities & Competencies

Job Duties

• BT/BLE driver design and development for the latest generation of IoT Bluetooth products
• Support low level hardware bring-up, software development in an RTOS environment, and device driver development
• Support work on various Software lifecycle components including requirements analysis, design, implementation, qualification, and production release
• Work closely with BT Systems, Silicon and QA teams for pre-tapeout qualification, silicon bring-up, feature development and in optimizing the performance of BT/BLE chips

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer-Science/Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with Bluetooth/BLE Profiles, Host Stack, HCI, Controller Stack
• Experience with BT/BLE Spec up to the 5.4 host and controller standard
• Experience with systems analysis, profiling and low-level debugging
• Hands on experience working with firmware/hardware.
• Experience with IoT Embedded Systems
• Hands on experience with Silicon based projects
• Experience with Networking Protocols is a plus
• No travel required
