Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Staff Test Product Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization. This role will support new product introduction and continuous care of manufacturing data, yield monitoring and improvement during production for new ASIC products. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Test Product Engineering.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
Test development and methodology for NPI and TTR phase using Advantest 93K, J750 and UltraFlex platforms
Production and yield management for Wireless / Mixed Signal Products to meet shipment and cost target
Analysis of disposition of production material for quality control and improvement
FACR/RMA support for failure mode analysis include customer’s requirement
Statistical data analysis and usage of the tools to work with different team on failure analysis for yield improvement of Touch and Automotive product
OSAT testing performance management and improvement to achieve shipment plan and improve cost lost by OSAT
Partner closely with the new product introduction team and manage the ASIC supply chain vendors
Competencies
Strong understanding of testing methodology, testing program development, yield and debug techniques
Good understanding of semiconductor processes and the relationship with testing and failure mechanism
Proactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions, explore new ideas, and learn new technologies
Resourceful and able to solve problems through adapting technology and a solid understanding of product architecture
Analytical and able to make informed decisions based on experience and data to improve processes and evaluate design options
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong team player with the ability to work within a diverse team and willing ness to share knowledge
Qualifications (Requirements)
Bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent
8+ years of industry experience in product and test engineering
Proven track record at releasing new product to high volume production and successful sustaining the product in production
History of delivering reductions in product manufacturing costs including yield improvement and cost reductions
Hands-on experience using data analysis tools for yield tracking and yield improvement analysis (Exensio platform a plus)
Familiar with Advantest 93K, Teradyne J750EX/EXHD or UltraFlex
Able to travel internationally up to 10%
