Overview 

Synaptics is looking for a Staff Project Manager who is ready to take on the challenge of joining our talented team, driving technical excellence, and delivering high-quality AI solutions to our clients worldwide. Our team specializes in developing cutting-edge vision and audio-based applications that revolutionize various industries by enabling capabilities such as human presence detection in the mass production PC market. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Engineering. 

Responsibilities & Competencies 

Job Duties

• Own end-to end Project Management of AI projects that involve planning, scoping, design, and development ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget 
• Lead, track, and monitor cross-functional projects rallying teams, including engineers, developers, and support staff, around short-term and mid-term deliverables to ensure seamless project execution 
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, understanding their needs, providing updates, and ensuring their requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct weekly calls, meeting summaries and track action items 
• Identify potential risks and suggest mitigation strategies to ensure project success 
• Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to ensure optimal project performance 
• Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations 
• Gather feedback from customers and internal teams to identify areas for improvement in project management processes  
• Report status of program execution with focus on schedule, risks, and issues utilizing data-based models and indicators

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English

Qualifications (Requirements) 

• Bachelor’s degree in degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably in AI or technology-related fields
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams
• Experience in providing high-quality technical support and building solid customer relationships
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work team with opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth 
• Occasional travel up to 10% may be required for customer site visits and support
