Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic and growing organization. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be joining a small, but mighty team of modern Marketers who believe that go-to-market success is part art, part science. We take pride in collaboration, problem-solving, and learning together. The ideal candidate will have expertise in leveraging China-focused social media platforms such as WeChat, Youku, and Douyin, to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions. You will play a role in developing and executing digital marketing strategies tailored to the unique behaviors and preferences of China audiences. This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Marketing.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies for the China market, focusing on WeChat, Youku, and Douyin including building the Synaptics WeChat presence, gathering content, localizing it, and promoting it
- Align digital marketing initiatives with overall company goals and marketing strategies
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in the China digital landscape
- Track, measure, analyze, and report growth and success based on clearly defined and agreed-on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of digital marketing efforts including preparing and presenting regular reports on campaign performance, audience insights, and other relevant metrics
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content across WeChat, Youku, and Douyin, to resonate with the target audience
- Collaborate with the creative team to produce localized content, including text, graphics, and videos, that aligns with brand messaging and objectives
- Develop content calendars and manage the day-to-day publishing schedule
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across WeChat, Youku, and Douyin, ensuring optimal performance and ROI
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaigns, adjusting strategies based on performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and make informed decisions for future campaigns
- Manage paid advertising campaigns on these platforms, including budget allocation, bidding strategies, and performance tracking
- Monitor and respond to user comments and messages on WeChat, Youku, and Douyin in a timely and professional manner
- Build and nurture online communities, fostering a strong and positive brand presence in the China market including implementing strategies to grow followers and increase engagement across all platforms

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on the China market
- Proven expertise in managing WeChat, Youku, and Douyin campaigns
- Strong understanding of China consumer behavior and digital trends
- Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin required; proficiency in English is a plus
- Experience with data analysis tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, WeChat Analytics, etc.
- Track record of creative thinking with excellent communication and project management skills
- Demonstrated history of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the technology or consumer electronics industry preferred
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM practices in the China market preferred
- Knowledge of other China social media platforms and e-commerce channels (e.g., Weibo, Taobao, Tmall) preferred
- No travel required
