Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Manager, Digital Verification Engineering to join our dynamic and growing WPD organization. You will be responsible for driving the SoC design in the BT, BLE, and 15.4 domains. You will provide technical leadership and expertise in the latest design methodologies as well as Bluetooth. You will lead the design of digital signal processing data paths, host interfaces (such as UART), high-speed interfaces, and embedded microcontrollers. Additionally, you will spearhead efforts to pioneer new innovations in the design, with the aim of enhancing performance and reusability. This position reports to the VP, Silicon Engineering.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Technically mentor and lead a team of design verification engineers
- Lead development of test plans to verify Bluetooth standards including BLE, sequences and design components
- Create test cases (programs) to assert each design component and run simulations to achieve the goal of full module coverage
- Lead Bluetooth testbench specifications and coverage plans, implement constraint-random sequences, agents, and environment using the UVM methodology
- Develop a co-simulation environment to verify between C models and RTL modules
- Develop System Verilog based VMM/UVM test bench environment

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Communication, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field, or equivalent
- 12+ years of experience in digital IC verification and Verilog coding, including min. 4 years of management experience
- Strong System Verilog/UVM based verification skills and experience with assertion and coverage-based verification methodology
- Familiar with formal / static verification methodologies is a plus
- Good understanding of at least one of the following: computer architecture, MCU peripherals, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth
- Experience in GLS
- Travel up to 10% required
