Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Staff Digital Engineer to join our dynamic and growing WPD organization. You will be responsible for the MAC Design in the BT, BLE, 15.4 domain. You will provide technical guidance and expertise in design methodologies as well as the Blue-tooth domain. You will drive the design of digital signal processing data paths, flow control, security engines, and embedded microcontrollers. You will work on designs to optimize performance, reduce area, and reduce power consumption. This position reports to the Director, IC Design Engineering.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
Design, develop, and implement data verification strategies for BT modem data, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards
Conduct functional verification tests on BT modems, analyzing data integrity and communication protocols
Create and maintain testbenches and test cases for complex modem designs, validating functional accuracy and reliability
Develop and maintain automation frameworks for data verification processes, optimizing for efficiency and scalability
Analyze verification results and debug issues, collaborating with design and development teams to address and resolve identified issues
Lead firmware, cosim, and debug activities
Generate comprehensive reports detailing verification outcomes, test results, and improvement recommendations

Qualifications (Requirements)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Communication or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field or equivalent
12 years of experience in digital IC verification and Verilog coding
System Verilog/UVM based verification skills and experience with assertion and coverage-based verification methodology
Familiar with at least one of the followings:Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MAC architecture, and Security engine architecture
Experience in GLS
Minimal travel up to 10%
