Overview 
Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic and growing organization. Our business is growing rapidly in the PC and PC Peripheral market in China and this role will be a critical to continuing the growth of the business. You will be responsible for driving our sales efforts for the business maintaining and development. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Sales. 

 

Responsibilities & Competencies 
Job Duties
  • Develop business opportunities and formulate and execute a robust sales strategy to achieve or surpass sales targets with Strategic Account 
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target companies and build strong relationship with KAMs including OEMs, ODMs, and module makers in the China PC Industry for both long term and short-term business 
  • Work cross-functionally to develop business opportunities with a strategic plan 
  • Aggressively drive a creative segment penetration plan 
  • Predict sales trends and maintain a well-organized sales pipeline 
  • Provide weekly customer summary and proactively report critical issues internally and escalate timely 
  • Regularly track, analyze, and report on sales performance, presenting findings to senior management
  • Manage activities of dedicated local support teams to provide world-class customer support 
  • Communicate customer expectations and requirements to the business unit thru sales tools and related internal stakeholders 
  • Manage quality or delivery incidents though collecting feedback, identifying potential impacts and escalating timely
  • Develop strategy to manage customer expectations
  • Monitor competition and take actions to secure our business with clear proposals

  • Professional presence and influencing skills; solid negotiation skills and the ability to close sales 
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills (in English) especially the ability to articulate business value in a clear, concise manner 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive, productive, and effective professional working relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Proactive, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit motivated by the challenge of a fast-paced, high-growth global environment 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed 
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively plan, goal set, and prioritize
  • Able to solve problems that require an understanding of markets and organizational objectives 

 

 
Qualifications (Requirements) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent 
  • 8+ years of experience in the PC or PC Peripheral business space (inclusive of engineering/marketing/sales/application, and the sales background is preferred.) 
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Good knowledge of China PC or PC Peripheral market
  • Demonstrated experience building a strategy and executing well
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Travel up to 20% regionally and internationally required
