Overview
Synaptics is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director, Sales to join our growing organization. You will be responsible for driving our sales efforts of customers of Synaptics Compute and wireless connectivity solutions, including but not limited to Edge AI-related OEMs, ODMs and their design centers in Taiwan. This position reports to the VP, Sales Taiwan.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
Own the formulation and execution of a robust sales strategy to achieve or surpass sales targets for the Synaptics Compute and Wireless Connectivity in AIoT segment in Taiwan
Lead and mentor a dedicated team of 3-5 sales representatives, providing guidance and support for their professional development including sales training and coaching to enhance their skills and performance
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers within AIoT ecosystems
Collaborate closely with engineering and marketing teams to drive the development and launch of new products and services tailored to our clients' needs
Efficiently manage and coordinate multinational and cross-business unit projects, ensuring seamless execution
Predict sales trends and build a deep well-organized sales pipeline
Regularly track, analyze, and report on sales performance, presenting findings to senior management

Flexible and creative problem-solving skills
Qualifications (Requirements)
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Business Administration or related field or equivalent
15 years of sales experience in semiconductor sales with a strong focus on embedded processors, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GNSS
Track record of developing, planning and executing sales penetration plans to drive Synaptics solutions into customer platforms
Highly analytical with strong business acumen, able to transition easily between the strategic and the detailed
Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is a strong advantage
Travel up to 50% required
