Overview  
The ISD Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Internship is an opportunity to learn and develop your analog & mixed-signal IC design skills by working with the ISD Analog & Mixed-Signal Design team. Our internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their studies in the fall. 

 

The typical base pay range for this position is USD $52.50 - $57.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only. 

 

Responsibilities & Competencies 
Job Duties 
  • Under supervision of senior engineers, design, simulate, and verify low noise and low power analog/mixed-signal IC designs for the cutting-edge capacitive touch screen sensor controllers 
  • Working closely with layout engineers on physical design, review layouts and provide feedback for optimal area and performance 
  • Perform evaluation and validation for designs in the lab, identify any deviations from requirements, and implement corrective actions 
  • Participate in research of advanced circuit design or micro-architecture for future products
  • Will have the opportunity to participate in / learn about advance analog circuit design and methodology

Qualifications (Requirements) 
  • Candidates should be seeking Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on transistor level analog/mixed-signal IC design and systems 
  • Working knowledge of Analog IC design and device physics fundamentals in the CMOS technology 
  • Hands-on experience designing various analog/mixed-signal blocks such as amplifiers/comparators, bandgap references, LDOs, charge pumps, relaxation oscillator, Nyquist rate or over-sampling ADC or DAC circuits, and switch-capacitor filters. 
  • Experience with cadence IC design EDA(schematic entry/simulation) tools
  • Familiar with lab testing equipment such as oscilloscope for the characterization, debug, and validation of design prototype 
  • Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction 
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your employment and criminal history 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
