Overview  
The Wireless Products Division Marketing Internship is an opportunity to learn and develop your Product Marketing skills by working with our industry leading product marketing, engineering and sales teams. In this exciting and fun role that perfectly blends technology and business, you will be supporting critical strategic initiatives related to outbound marketing deployment, sales funnel analysis, and market research. Our internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their studies in the fall.  
  
The typical base pay range for this position is USD $24.00- $41.50 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only. 

 

Responsibilities & Competencies 
Job Duties 
  • Assess and organize outbound marketing materials, including presentations, pricing, and roadmaps
  • Identify and update outdated or fragmented content to improve accessibility for sales teams and customers
  • Develop a streamlined system for deploying marketing information efficiently
  • Support global sales funnel analysis by refining customer segmentation within Salesforce
  • Research key wireless technologies in the IoT market, focusing on segments like Smart Home Automation, including Wi-Fi, Thread/Zigbee, LoRa-WAN, NB-IoT, Proprietary Mesh, and Z-Wave
  • Analyze market share and penetration rates for each technology
  • Map IoT subsegments (e.g., Utilities, Manufacturing) to their preferred wireless technologies
  • Conduct quantitative (market reports, surveys with tools like Qualtrics) and qualitative (customer meetings, interviews via social media networks) research
  • Assist the Wireless Marketing team to deliver a strategy presentation with final recommendations on whether to pursue the IIoT connectivity market, including next steps
  • Learn industry-standard tools for market research, data analysis, and CRM management (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, Qualtrics)
  • Gain hands-on experience in strategic decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and executive-level presentations
  • This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, gain exposure to executive decision-making, and develop skills in marketing operations and strategic research
Competencies 
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering fundamentals like analog and digital circuits, computer systems, architecture and networking
  • Basic computer programming skills with working knowledge of one computer language: C, Python etc.
  • Strong fundamentals of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers
  • Ability to analyze industry reports and synthesize insights from quantitative and qualitative research
  • Ability to assess market penetration, competitive positioning, and decision-making factors 
  • Basic knowledge of leading wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
  • Self-motivated and aptitude to learn quickly
  • Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong sense of professionalism 
 
Qualifications (Requirements) 
  • Candidates should be seeking a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, or Business with a focus on technology 
  • Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction 
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your employment and criminal history 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
