Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join our dynamic and growing organization. This role will be responsible for payroll in various countries through the shared services center and work with both international and local accounting teams. There are cross-training and learning opportunities within the shared services organization for motivated individuals. This position reports to the Manager, International Payroll.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Prepare and provide monthly payroll change data to vendor
- Validate monthly payroll reports
- Prepare monthly journal entries to record payroll related transactions
- Provide accruals for payroll and related transactions for pay cycle cut-off
- Perform monthly reconciliation on salary, bonus, payroll tax, PTO, etc
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of tax return filing
- Partner with multiple departments to ensure timely processing of payroll and accurate allocation
- Partner with internal departments on salary reviews and other payment calculations

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent
- 2+ years of payroll experience preferably in a multi-national corporation with US GAAP
- Knowledge of payroll related regulations
- Strong desire to develop a career in the payroll field preferred
- No travel required
