Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Facilities planner to join our dynamic and growing organization. The individual will be responsible for supporting all the GWR activities at Synaptics Korea, including infrastructure maintenance, coordinating with vendors. The individual will maintain a seamless and secure working environment while also optimizing space allocation and sustainability initiatives and ensuring that facilities are safe, compliant, and conducive. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, GWR and Regional Programs.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Maintain office infrastructure, including electrical, fire safety, security, AC, lighting and other essential systems
- Manage facility vendors to ensure qualified and cost-effective service delivery
- Follow up on and ensure the timely closure of GWR tickets
- Monitor facilities expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for facility improvements
- Ensure compliance with environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, adhering to both local and Synaptics standards
- Oversee shipping and receiving services to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Manage breakroom and office supplies, ensuring availability and organization
- Handle space management, keep the Indoor Finder updated, and coordinate internal office moves
- Ensure the office remains clean, organized, and well-maintained to provide a comfortable working environment
- Visit the Suwon office at least bi-weekly to oversee operations and ensure facility needs are met
- Act as the primary liaison with the local landlord for facility-related matters
- Engage with the local team to address facility operations and support office needs

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 2+ years facility management experience
- Knowledge of critical facilities operations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- No travel required
